The 2014 World of Concrete and the 2014 ATTSA Traffic Expo will be kicking off before you know it, and KutRite Manufacturing plans to be a key participant in both shows.

The 40th World of Concrete, scheduled for January 20-24, 2014, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, again marks the industry’s only annual international event dedicated to the commercial concrete and masonry construction industries, showcasing leading industry suppliers featuring innovative products, construction machinery, construction equipment, safety courses and training. It provides one of the best networking opportunities in the business.

Sheryl Meyers Award

As usual, KutRite will be in attendance. Last year during the WOC, KutRite Operations Manager Sheryl Meyers was honored with the 2013 Woman of Distinction Award, handed out by the Women in Concrete Alliance. She was the third winner of that honor.

Just two years ago, KutRite introduced its Conquer Twin grinder and polisher at the show and it was named the 2012 winner of the Most Innovative Products Award at the WOC. The groundbreaking 910-pounder brings together in a single machine two planetary turntables with three abrasive drivers each. It can grind at either a 42- or 22-inch path and exhibits all of KutRite’s best features – the Belt-Drive System, Quick-Disconnect (QD) Tooling and the Tilt-Back Bowl design.

This year, KutRite plans to increase its visibility with a brand-new tent that will feature increase signage and allow for better traffic patterns through its exhibit, which will again showcase the best in floor grinders and polishers, concrete edge finishers, scarifiers, industrial vacuums and support tooling.

“We have always enjoyed participating in the WOC”, said Rick Sollars of KutRite. “While our exhibit has always featured heavy customer traffic, we’d like to increase our visibility and control traffic patterns a little more by featuring a new display and tent design. Hopefully, you’ll come and visit our display, enjoy some American-made hospitality and tell us what you think of it.”

KutRite plans to nominate an all-new, twin-head KRazor EDGE floor edging grinder and polisher for consideration in the 2014 MIP Contest. The twin-head KRazor is a robust, high-production, highly maneuverable, variable speed grinding and polishing floor edger. The machine offers a “handheld touch” from an adjustable standup platform that includes much of KutRite’s cutting-edge innovations.

Included is a walk-behind six-position handle featuring 5-degree adjustable tilt (at 1-degree increments, steering that allows for turning on a dime, non-marking swivel casters and an easy access panel for inspections, adjustments and cleaning.

KutRite will announce more of its plans for the 2014 WOC as the event nears.

ATSSA Booth

ATSSA’s 44th Annual Convention & Traffic Expo is scheduled for Feb. 21-25, 2014, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, San Antonio, Texas. The convention runs all four days; the traffic expo is plan for Feb. 23-25.

ATSSA offers four days of education, exhibits and inspiration. Attendees can engage manufacturers, suppliers, federal, state and local public agencies, legislative advocacy professionals and contractors. They can explore breakthrough products, industrial solutions to challenges and together find a way to shape the future of roadways. ATSSA is a great place to connect with the industry, gain knowledge, make commitments and renew visions.

“ATSSA gives us an opportunity to see current customers and meet new ones,” said Meyers, who leads KutRite’s efforts in the concrete scarifying field. “We focus on line stripe removal customers – they range from small scarifier machine contractors all the way up to national corporations with large trucks (like MRL, Arrow, Swanson or Dickson, for example).”

“ATSSA participants are decision makers, so our presentation is always has a heavy focus on knowledge of the industry. We’ll put our best foot forward again this year.”
